PACIS 2025 will continue hosting the Junior and Mid Faculty Consortium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The consortium is aimed at supporting junior IS colleagues primarily from Pacific Asia region (AIS Region 3) and beyond. The purpose is to offer guidance and orientation to untenured junior faculty as they navigate their academic careers. This includes preparing them for the opportunities and challenges ahead, planning for their desired career paths, as well as understanding the changing trends of the IS field and the expectations of key stakeholders.
The program provides an intimate forum for interactive discussion with esteemed senior colleagues, faculty mentors, and mid-career peers who have recently undergone the tenure review process. Through a combination of keynote, panels, and roundtable discussions, mentors and participants will explore a range of topics essential for career advancement, including regional and global career planning, choosing research areas, meeting tenure criteria, satisfying publication requirements, and navigating work-family commitments. Details and any adjustments will be provided accordingly.
