    The 2024 Summer Institute in Computational Social Science at Chicago (SICSS-Chicago) will be held in-person from August 4-8, 2024 at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. The goal of the program is to bring together grad students, postdocs, and early career faculty from a range of disciplines to learn more about the exciting field of computational social science. The curriculum will cover a broad array of topics including Ethics and Text, Multi-modal Analysis, Generative AI in the New Age, Scalable Experiments, and Complexity & Networks. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experience through collaborative datathon projects. 

     

    We are delighted to announce our esteemed lineup of speakers (alphabetical order): Damon Centola (University of Pennsylvania), Solène Delecourt (UC Berkeley), Matt Groh (Northwestern University), Manling Li (Northwestern University), Sameer Srivastava (UC Berkeley), Brian Uzzi (Northwestern University), Rob Voigt (Northwestern University), and Dashun Wang (Northwestern University). We are also excited that more speakers will be revealed soon.
