    Dear colleagues,

    AOM is around the corner and I would like to invite you to our Professional Development Workshop at the Academy of Management 2026 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

    Learning How to Manage the AI: Incorporating Generative AI into Management Learning and Education

    This 90-minute Teaching-highlight session addresses a question many of us are actively grappling with: whether and how to effectively integrate generative AI tools into management education. We will examine approaches to AI skill-building and discuss how educators can design learning environments for different audiences (e.g., undergraduate and executive contexts) that leverage the potential of generative AI while managing its limitations, including the risk of de-skilling.

    The workshop is structured to encourage interactive discussion, with the aim of equipping participants with practical, hands-on strategies for using AI in both teaching and research.
