    Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to submit your research to the minitrack "Exploring the Intersection of Information Systems and Regulation on AI and Privacy" at the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) 2026 which will take place in Reno (Nevada) from August 20-22.

MINITRACK: Exploring the Intersection of Information Systems and Regulation on AI and Privacy
TRACK: Cybersecurity, Privacy & Ethics (SIG SEC)

DESCRIPTION: In the realm of Information Systems (IS), regulation has emerged as an increasingly significant normative imperative. This minitrack provides an opportunity to explore the intersection of IS and regulation, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and privacy. Submissions may address organizational roles in relation to existing or forthcoming regulations, or examine how regulatory requirements are operationalized into IS design. Relevant regulatory frameworks include, but are not limited to, the European AI Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as broader normative aims such as privacy, fairness, transparency, and accountability. Comparative perspectives on different regulations and their mandated obligations are also encouraged. This minitrack welcomes conceptual, empirical, and theoretical contributions that engage with the interdisciplinary intersection of IS and regulation.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 1, 2026: Submissions due at 5:00 pm PST (Reno/Los Angeles)
