Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, intends to hire an academic in the broad area of business analytics/Information Systems. The school intends to hire a research-active academic who at Associate Professor level will have an internationally visible research profile and a portfolio of high impact publications in journals ranked by the Chartered Association of Business School. Applicants who meet these requirements and also have publications in the FT50 are at an advantage. While we are seeking to hire a rigorous researcher, we also require that this research expertise is of relevance and can provide added value to senior executives and entrepreneurs as well as those engaged in public policy. Therefore, evidence of engagement and impact with the business and public policy community (beyond academia) to include an understanding of the key challenges facing the relevant groups as well as an ability to communicate effectively with them are valuable attributes that we need to fulfil our mission.
The school currently delivers an M.Sc. in Business Analytics and offers courses in analytics and information systems domain to various programmes at undergraduate level, postgraduate level and also to executives. The school is looking to further build upon the growth in this area in an innovative manner to cater to the growing demand. Modules in the area of business analytics and information systems being taught in existing programmes include Leading with Analytics and AI, Introduction to MIS, Introduction to Analytics, Strategic Technology Management, Data Mining, Visualization, Social Media Analysis etc. The candidate would be expected to cover teaching (undergraduate, postgraduate as well as executive education) in the field of business analytics and information systems broadly defined.

Trinity Business School recently launched its new strategy 'Transforming Business for Good: Horizon 2030' and is seeking to recruit academics to deliver the associated mission and key strategic objectives. As the School continues to develop, it is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics to deliver and develop in the area of business analytics across the relevant activities of research, teaching and management/leadership.
