Call for papers to HICSS-60 Minitrack "Remote Work and Virtual Collaboration"
Dear Colleagues,
In the midst of all the discussion about AI transforming work, it's easy to forget that AI never impacts in isolation. The places where we work, the configurations of our teams, and the ways we collaborate across distance still fundamentally shape how work gets done. Remote, hybrid, and digitally mediated work practices remain core drivers of how technology-enabled collaboration succeeds, but the nature of such work is constantly changing.
Are you studying remote or hybrid work, global virtual teams, multi‑team systems, or other digitally networked collaborations? Are you exploring how distance and intelligent technologies influence such collaborative work?
We warmly invite you to submit to our HICSS‑60 Minitrack: "Remote Work and Virtual Collaboration", together with my co-chairs, Kirsimarja Blomqvist – LUT University, Ward van Zoonen – Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam & University of Jyväskylä, Petros Chamakiotis – ESCP Business School
This minitrack has a long and vibrant history at HICSS and has sparked longstanding collaboration networks and friendships. We want to offer a welcoming space that brings together scholars interested in how people collaborate across spatial, temporal, cultural and technological boundaries.
