Earlier this year, the University of Virginia Karsh Institute of Democracy welcomed its first cohort of six post-doctoral research fellows in our Digital Technology & Democracy Lab. I'm pleased to share that we have two information sessions coming up to provide more information about newly opened post-doc positions starting in Fall, 2025:
This is an excellent opportunity for scholars from Information Systems, Communications, and many other fields.
➡ It is open to all kinds of scholarly output related to Digital Technology & Democracy.
➡ Post-docs can focus on their own research agenda with mentorship from faculty leads and other UVA faculty, including faculty like myself in the Information Technology and Innovation area at the McIntire School of Commerce.
➡ Post-docs will be part of a multi-disciplinary cohort.
➡ These are 2-year positions with pay of $65,000 AND research funding of $5,000 per year AND standard UVA resources will be provided, including healthcare, computing resources, library support, and more!
Please reach out to me directly if I can help answer questions about potential project proposals or to discuss how many research topics related to IS, communications, and organizational research directly relate to Democracy.
