Position description: The ERA Chair of Social Innovation at NOVA School of Business and Economics invites applications for tenure-track / tenured positions at the Assistant level to advance its research mission.
The selected candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality research and contribute to the development of the research agenda and initiatives of the ERA Chair in Social Innovation. ERA Chairs are European projects that allow universities and institutions to attract outstanding academics, with proven research excellence and management skills, while implementing structural changes necessary to achieve long-term R&I excellence.
The successful applicant will conduct research of international standing and actively contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School at the intersection of social innovation and entrepreneurship with a focus on sustainability and impact. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its strategic initiatives and programmatic activities.

Requirements: Applicants must have a PhD degree in Organizational Studies, Management or a closely related field (must be completed by Summer 2024). We will consider candidates who are in the completion phase of their PhD or who are currently Assistant Professors (2-4 years after PhD).
The successful candidate will maintain a program of research resulting in top-tier journal publications. We welcome applications from scholars who have expertise in any of the following areas – social innovation, cross-sector collaboration, open social innovation, and sustainability, engage and have expertise in qualitative methods. A record of publications in top journals is desirable. The selected applicant will join the ERA Chair team with Anne-Laure Fayard, ERA Chair holder and Professor of Social Innovation, and Paolo Leone, Assistant Professor in Social Innovation. Both use ethnography and qualitative methods to explore questions such as collaboration (cross-sector collaboration, co-creation) and new forms of organizing (open innovation, open science) for social innovation and impact. The ERA Chair is part of the Management & Organizations group where current department members research diversity and inclusion-related issues, leadership, paradoxes, and social entrepreneurship, among other areas.
Conditions: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits are also included, such as allowance for research, conference fees and travel expenses, and relocation costs, if applicable.
