The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for two (2) full-time, open rank faculty positions in Information Systems & Analytics. Appointments can be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks, commensurate with the individual's record and experience, with a possibility of tenure. The expected start date is September 2025. Applicants will be considered until the position is filled, but candidates are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible as review of candidates will start immediately.
Successful candidates will possess a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Science, Organizational Communication or other related disciplines, and will have strong potential and/or record of research publications in top-level outlets.
Information Systems & Analytics faculty at the School are active in research involving digital innovation, data-related innovation, big data, management of AI, social media, social networks, sequential learning, online communities, collective intelligence, and financial technologies. Our faculty regularly publishes in top-level outlets such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Journal of MIS.
Candidates are expected to complement and enhance the research activities of the school with their own scholarly activities, advise Ph.D. students, and are expected to publish in top journals of their field. Successful candidates are expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate level in their area of expertise. New faculty are also expected to help develop new courses on the relevant and high demand topics, for example, Ethics and AI, Management of AI, and Cloud Computing. The university offers a competitive teaching load and excellent support for faculty research. Successful candidates are expected to participate in curricular development and student advising, besides the primary role of pursuing a strong research agenda.
