    Evidence of Research Series Quality

Research in Human Resource Management (HRM) is a peer reviewed research series that publishes monographs, literature reviews, empirical research, and new theoretical models that advance theory and research in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and related fields (e.g., Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Management, Research Methods).

Research in HRM is a research series, and its purpose is to advance theory, research, and practice on a specific topic. The volumes include peer reviewed papers and monographs that are reviewed by subject matter experts, and include multiple volumes on a topic.

Research is HRM is listed in Cabells, and it is also indexed, like journals, in EBSCO, PsyInfo, and Google Scholar. It was founded in 2016.

Similarity to Other Research Series.  It is similar to other prominent series like Research in Organizational Behavior, Research in Personnel/Human Resource Management, and Advances in Strategic Management published by Emerald Publishing.  Research in OB and Research in Personnel/HRM are also are also listed in the prestigious Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports, and the ABDC journal ranking list. These journal rankings consider both of these research series as journals.

Publisher/Founders. RHRM is now published by Emerald Publishing Company, and was founded by Gerald Ferris, and Rodger Griffeth who are very prominent researchers in HRM. It was originally published by Information Age Publishers. Gerald Ferris started Research in Personnel/HRM, but thought an additional research series was needed in the field to address important research issues.

In the paragraphs below, we provide information on the (a) evidence that the peer review process is robust, (b) information on the prominence of the editors and editorial board members. (c) evidence that supports the quality of papers published in the series, (d) the prominence of scholars who have published in the series, and (e) tables of contents of recent issues. We would be happy to send you examples of recent articles.

    A. Peer Review Policy (as found the website – see https://www.infoagepub.com/series/Research-in-Human-Resource-Management)

RHRM uses a double-blind peer review process. All manuscripts are assessed by the editor to determine suitability for the research series. Manuscripts are then sent to two peer subject matter experts to assess their merits and scientific quality. The double-blind review process means that the reviewers do not know the names of authors, and authors do not know the names of reviewers. Publication decisions are based on evaluations by the subject matter experts and the Action Editor. The editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles.

There is additional information on why we believe that RHRM is a quality peer reviewed outlet, and I will send them if you email me at Diannastone2015@gmail.com.
